ARTS TOPICS

This 30 minute presentation will focus on the ways in which artists turn mathematical curiosity into a system for representing three-dimensional space in their two-dimensional paintings.    See the beautiful art of the Gothic and Renaissance periods, see the linear system that formed the basis for these works and learn a little bit about the cooperation and competition among these innovative artists.

Poets Wayne Lanter and Donna Biffar, editors of River King Poetry Supplement, read and discuss poems with a Midwestern flavor. Wayne Lanter has authored four books of poetry, most recently The Canonical Hours. Donna Biffar has written four books of poetry, most recently When Tractors Are Art.
